Happy MUMMY's day.

Like any filial and loving daughter, I make a card for Mummy for Mother's day. I did brilliant, no doubt. See the design on the right hand side.

But Daddy said Mummy doesn't understand "baby language" and hence, he helped to scribble "human's language" on the left hand side. Who says Mummy don't understand my message? My design beats Daddy's design flat down. Don't believe, ask Mummy which design she likes most!

Also, people says, the most touching gift is to give your most precious asset. I shall do exactly that. This is for MUMMY.

But Daddy KA KA CAU CAU again, saying that that's nice, but not practical for Mummy and replace this for her.

But I have no problem with that. What Mummy takes, I will have some share eventually.. hehe.

See, Mummy and her beaming smile.

Actually, we celebrated Mother's Day last week when Grandma came visiting. Look, a photo of three generations.

For Mummy's Day, we took a stroll at the Sembawang Park. It was a nice cloudy day. Well, in Singapore, cloudy is good, sunny isn't.

At the end of the end, Mummy is happy and I am happy.

Learning kungfu for my semi-birthday

Today I am exactly half-a-year-old. Happy semi-birthday!

For that, I learn new kungfu. The first one is called Lightness Floating Stance...

The second one is more difficult... It's called the Suck-your-toe Stance...

No?? You don't think that's Kungfu?? Then you try it yourself. If you can't, means it needs skills and that means it's kungfu.

Daddy's trip to Europe

Although Daddy's trip to Europe is a business trip, Daddy managed to squeeze some time to see some of the best parts of Amsterdam, Cologne and Brussels. Daddy has been to Amsterdam and Brussels when he was a student but Cologne is new to him.

This is a picture of me sending Daddy off at Changi Airport on 2 April 2008.

This is the Amsterdam City...

and one of its many picturesque canals

This is the famous Dam Square. Look who is here... Darth Vader!! The Stormtrooper has invaded Amsterdam!

Daddy also paid a visit to the Fo Guang San temple, where Daddy once visited in 2001. In fact, it was the FGS BLIA Youth Group of Manchester trip that brought Daddy to Amsterdam for the first time.

Unexpectedly but a pleasant surprise, Daddy met old acquaintance, Ng Guan Her (in the picture), in the temple. Guan Her is now the Youth movement chairman. Daddy was also introduced to Dharma Brother Wu, a Singaporean who has settled in Amsterdam (not in picture).

Daddy's next destination is Cologne and upon arrival, Daddy was awed by the majestic breath-taking Cologne Cathedral.

This is the interior of the Cologne Cathedral.

Next, Daddy headed to Brussels. Daddy had little time in Brussels but managed to visit the Grand Place...

and the famous Manekan Pis

and also Atomium, which is a model of atom magnified by 165 billion times.

At the Atomium, Daddy was approached by Belgian TV crew, asking Daddy to be part of their programme. So, Daddy asked what role would he be playing. The lady said - a tourist! Ah, that's easy. Daddy was already a tourist and how hard could that be?! Yeah right, EASIER SAID THAN DONE!

Daddy has been taking a lot of sandwiches, burgers and chips for his lunches and dinners. So, on the his last day of the trip, he went into a Chinese Restaurant and had this for his dinner. It was a roasted duck rice costing Euro6.95. And that's cheap!

Daddy's message from Cologne Germany

I know I said that there will be no blog for at least 10 days. But this is an exception. Daddy has sent a pigeon to deliver this message to me. Poor pigeon has to travel so far.

"
Dear Jing Er,
Ich vermisse dich sehr!!
Daddy is in Cologne now and since it' Sunday today, Daddy has all the time to catch a pigeon to send you this message. Daddy arrived in Cologne from Amsterdam yesterday and the weather here was awful. It rained the whole day and it was biting cold.
See, Daddy attachs the picture of the magnificent Cologne Cathedral so that you can see what Daddy sees here.
Daddy can't wait for go home to see you and Mummy.
From Cologne with Love,
Daddy
"
I know Daddy wants to show off his German language with the ONLY German sentence. But I don't know German lah, how am I suppose to know what Daddy wants to say.
Can somebody tell me what "Ich vermisse dich sehr!!" means?
