Visit to Singapore Zoo

.
Thanks to yi zhang's company Family Day event, I got to visit the Singapore Zoo for the first time.

Coming with me were Mummy, Daddy, yi ma and of course yi zhang himself.

Greeting us at the entrance of the zoo were two jumbos, who were fighting it out to take picture with me. But, the winner is Mummy.

The first place to visit in the zoo is.. ta daa.. the toilet!

It's an award-winning toilet. It's open concept makes you feel as though you are "doing your business" in the public but nobody sees... *wicked*

One of the biggest attractions is the white tigers - not to be missed!

The next exhibit shown in the picture below was a pygmy hippo, which has part of its body submerged in the water. But I was more interested in the fish.

Look, I made friend with a kangaroo. It was so friendly that it allows me to touch its nose.
I know I know.... it's a fake one, but this one is real. So, I only got to point at him.
Cool, kangaroo crossing signboard. That means you have to give priority to kangaroos every time they cross your path, just like pedestrian zebra-crossing.
A zebra crossing for kangaroo? Somehow, this sentence doesn't sounds right.

Next the warthog, a species of wildboar.

And there are many more animals lah. Too many to show you.

Walking in the zoo alone is an enjoyable moment, especially with its well-planned shedded path.

Oh ya, not forgetting the elephant show. We were there 10 minutes early and I was already looking so bored waiting for the show to start.

And finally, the moment came. It's unbelievable what the elephant can do.
They are so heavy but they can...... walk! Amazing! No lah, of course not just this, they can spray water from their long trunk, crush coconut, pull logs and even lift their caretakers with their trunk.

By the way, I have had this yellow square patch sticked at my back for the entire visit.

Guess what is it?

Dancing

.
Somehow, I missed blogging this video. This video was taken late Sept 2008 when I was 11 months old. At that time, I had yet to walk unassisted, but that didn't stop me from dancing.

Now I can do the same but without hand holding onto the sideboard.

Swimming (more like playing water) for the first time

.
Last Sunday 23 Nov, I've had the opportunity to dip into a minipool at da jiu's house for the first time.

I love water, and perhaps taking baths are the best moments in my daily life. See, I was already smiling ear-to-ear even before putting my foot in the pool.

And here I went..

with Jack ko ko...

And Daddy didn't want to miss the moment as well..

Hey look... my Mohican hair-style that David Beckham would be proud of...
Every good moment will come to its end, so said Mummy. But I didn't agree...

I put up a good fight...

I knew I can't match Mummy's strength, so I threw my body weight..

still, Mummy overpowered me. That's when I used my secret weapon... MY VOICE!

Managed to break loose and ran towards the mini pool again.

and the good moment resumed, albeit not for long...

By, the way, da jiu and jiu ma welcome a new family member, Kai Xuan two months ago. This is Kai Xuan.

Hey, in the past I always have to call others gor gor or jie jie. Now, I have somebody who call me jie jie.
Jing Er jie jie... sounds cool man!!

Bumbu seat

.
When I was younger, Mummy and Daddy liked to put me in the Bumbu seat, but I hated it. Let me dig out my old photo to show you the evidence.

My facial expression tells it all!

But, for some reasons, I like it very much now!

I can get in and get out all by my own, with absolute estacy!

Posing for the camera

.
Now I know what camera is all about.

It is a device that in front of it, you have to put your best smile, the ear-to-ear kind. You are supposed to look into the camera itself.

People normally say "Cheese", some say "Konica".

I say "Wa Wa"...

A walk in Sembawang Park

.
Ever since I know how to walk, I just love going to parks or gardens. So, last week when we went to Sembawang Park, I just kept walking non-stop.

Poor Mummy and Daddy had to take turn to take care of me while I walked, walked, walked and walked...

By the way, I noticed that the "floor" at the park isn't the same like those at home. Yeah, not only the texture is different, Daddy and Mummy seemed to have prejudice against the floor at the park. Everytime I touch, they would say "NO", but the more the said NO, the more I showed my rebellious nature.

But of course, after a long time walking, I didn't mind sitting down and that's when Mummy and Daddy catched their breaths.

But NOT FOR LONG.... This is what happen when they tried to confine me!

Feeding - practice makes perfect

.
Right now, Mummy is still feeding me porridge and put a bib on me. But I wanna consume the porridge myself - yes, with no help.

So, I'm going to show Mummy that I know how to feed myself all on my own - of course as a start without any food.

I believe practice makes perfect.
