Sick

I am feeling both hot and cold - in adult terms, fever and running nose.

I am down with fever since yesterday morning and yesterday night, the temperature rose as high as 38.7 deg C. Poor Mummy has to keep awake all night to take my temperature regularly to ensure that it does not reach dangerous level. This morning, my body temperature came down to about 37.3 deg C.

Wish me quick recovery!

Playful Jing Er and her "Wua Wua"

Sometimes when it comes to bedtime, I don't feel like going to bed. But, the bed is the only place I will be placed, whether I like it or not. So, I have to find some way of entertaining myself. Sometimes I chat with Mummy too.

My growth progress at 7 months old

I am now 7 months old and it's time to report my growth progress again

Measuring at 72 cm long, I am still above 97th percentile. Great, isn't it?

Jing Er: Daddy, why am I 72 cm LONG and not 72 cm TALL? Last time, I can only lie down, therefore it's LONG, but now I am beginning to stand up, why not TALL?

Daddy: That's because of the way the measurement is taken. When you take measurement horizontally, then it's LONG and if it is taken vertically, then it's TALL. I take it horizontally.

Jing Er: (Sigh).. engineer!!

Anyway, here's my weight measurement.

I weigh about 8.8 kg and according to the chart, that has fallen to 90th percentile. That's great, isn't it?

Jing Er: Engineer Daddy, why is weight measured in kg? According to Isaac Newton, mass is measured in kg and force is measured in Newton. Since weight is a force due to gravity, then I am 86 Newton heavy and not 8.8kg heavy.

Daddy: (speechless) ...???!!

My driving skill

There is no question about my driving skill. At six-month old, I am able to manoeuvre my car through narrow pathway with relative ease.

This is for the record.

(Video taken on 7 May 2008 - but I already did this sometimes ago)

Happy MUMMY's day.

Like any filial and loving daughter, I make a card for Mummy for Mother's day. I did brilliant, no doubt. See the design on the right hand side.

But Daddy said Mummy doesn't understand "baby language" and hence, he helped to scribble "human's language" on the left hand side. Who says Mummy don't understand my message? My design beats Daddy's design flat down. Don't believe, ask Mummy which design she likes most!

Also, people says, the most touching gift is to give your most precious asset. I shall do exactly that. This is for MUMMY.

But Daddy KA KA CAU CAU again, saying that that's nice, but not practical for Mummy and replace this for her.

But I have no problem with that. What Mummy takes, I will have some share eventually.. hehe.

See, Mummy and her beaming smile.

Actually, we celebrated Mother's Day last week when Grandma came visiting. Look, a photo of three generations.

For Mummy's Day, we took a stroll at the Sembawang Park. It was a nice cloudy day. Well, in Singapore, cloudy is good, sunny isn't.

At the end of the end, Mummy is happy and I am happy.

History repeats itself

Look at the two pictures below.

The main difference is they are taken 32 years apart. I think you know who is who in those pictures, don't you?
