Mopping the floor - the novel way

.

Compared to cleaning the rack, mopping the floor is easy. Just watch me do it.

The cleaner auntie must be so glad that I could help lighten her task. But no... the more I helped the more busy the auntie cleaner was. Like the Chinese saying goes "yue bang yue mang".

For every square metre I mopped, I left two-square-metre full of foot-prints. Besides, considering the wet floor, my safety was a concern too.

Then, the cleaner auntie came out with a fantastic solution that allowed me to help her mop the floor, but at the same time prevented me from leaving my footprints as well as made sure it was safe for me.

"Cleaning" rack

.

Cleaning rack isn't that hard after all. All you need to do is rinse the cloth, squeeze it dry and then start wiping the rack. Repeat the process a few times.

I know, I know. There is no water in the pail. But I pretend there is... can?

Side notes: Daddy & Mummy say: We didn't teach her that. She must have observed the cleaner auntie doing it.

Baby Blues

.
One of Daddy's favourite comic strips is Baby Blues by Rick Kurtman and Jerry Scott. He used to laugh at those hilarious strips.

So, when he saw this strip (below) from newspaper, he couldn't resist cut it out and kept it because...

it's very similar to what happened to him. One day, he searched high and low for the remote control only to find out a day later that..

... I kept it nicely in the side pocket of my playpen.

Poor Daddy!

Girl and dresses are inseparable. Morever, it's Chinese New Year now. That means I have new dress to showcase!

I love this one the most. It fits me snugly.

And this one is a gift from Daddy's colleague...

And this one is from Mummy's colleague, who bought it in the United States

And this one is from Ah Kong. Bare-back one you know!

And this one is a gift from my nanny...

and this one too, from my nanny...

And finally this one. Actually, I have had enough CNY dresses already but Daddy and Mummy could not resist buying this one for me. Firstly, it's nice and secondly...

it's RM6.30!!!! Yes, you hear me right, it's Ringgit Malaysia.

Lion Dance at wai gong & wai po's house

.
The best three things about Lunar New Year are firstly, ang pow; secondly, ang pow; and thirdly ang pow.

But I'm going to blog about the fourth best thing - lion dance.

It came to wai gong and wai po's house. So, while people got themselves busy preparing for the dance, I took the chance to mess with the lion head.

Of course lion dance troupe is well-known for its stunt and kung-fu, so we hung a vegetable at a height, with ang pow attached to it, so that we could see the lion dance troupe performing their stunt. But then hor, the higher you hang the vegetable, the bigger the ang pow you need to pack. So, it was decided that if I could reach the vegetable, then the lion dance troupe should have no problem. So, I have had the honour of conducting the QC check.

Now that everything is in place, we are getting ready for the dance.

And here we go...

And finally, then vegetable...

By the way, what do you call a lang sai (in Hokkien) that does not dance? Definitely not Lion Dance. Human Lion?
